Earlier in the year I was honored, twice no less, by the good people at Animal Culture Magazine. They wrote separate articles about my carving work and about BAD RAP, the pit bull advocacy group I co-founded 21 years ago with my gal pal Donna Reynolds. Oddly, I’m posting about the article while watching wildfire ash fall from the sky in our Oakland CA home—the issue features articles about the massive Australia bushfires that devastated so much of the country and destroyed so much wildlife. So it seems these incredible wildfires are growing on a worldwide scale.

It is such an honor to be included in this issue with Dr. Jane Goodall’s Roots and Shoots program, and the brave, diehard medical heroes that worked so tirelessly to save so many animals from the Australian bushfires.

Open this PDF for the article, and also take a peek at the article about BAD RAP’s beginnings and our work with the Vick dogs—lots to enjoy!
